UNACU is the umbrella body for specialists in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and all IT-related jobs/careers in Uganda. UNACU has been in existence for years and boasts its presence in almost all tertiaries in Uganda (including privately owned ones).
The operational heart of our organisation, the Secretariat ensures that our daily functions, strategic goals, and member services run effectively and efficiently.
The Secretariat is the central administrative and operational hub of the Uganda National Association for Computer Users (UNACU), tasked with coordinating the day-to-day management of the association’s activities and initiatives. It ensures that all programs, projects, and organizational strategies are effectively implemented in alignment with UNACU’s mission to promote computer literacy, digital inclusion, and responsible ICT usage across Uganda and beyond. The Secretariat also plays a pivotal role in facilitating collaboration between leadership, members, regional chapters, and partners.
Under the guidance of the Executive Administrator, the Secretariat is committed to operating with transparency, professionalism, and a strong sense of innovation. It is responsible for managing programs, coordinating national and international partnerships, executing communication strategies, and enforcing policy decisions made by the Board. In addition, it supports advocacy work, facilitates ICT club development, and helps build institutional capacity to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.
With a spirit of service and accountability, the Secretariat stands as the driving force behind UNACU’s operational excellence. It works tirelessly to ensure that the association remains responsive to both local and global ICT trends, while also maintaining a strong network of stakeholders. Through its dedicated team and strategic coordination, the Secretariat turns UNACU’s vision into action—empowering communities and shaping a digitally inclusive future for all.
