UNACU is the umbrella body for specialists in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and all IT-related jobs/careers in Uganda. UNACU has been in existence for years and boasts its presence in almost all tertiaries in Uganda (including privately owned ones).
The Uganda National Association for Computer Users (UNACU) is committed to building a digitally inclusive society by promoting ICT knowledge, innovation, and opportunities for all — from underserved communities to future tech leaders.
We establish community centers offering basic computer skills, internet access, and digital tools to help every citizen participate in the modern information society.
We prepare the next generation of digital professionals with mentorship, practical training, and career support to thrive in Uganda’s growing tech ecosystem.
We champion gender equality in technology by inspiring and equipping girls with the skills, mentorship, and scholarships needed to excel in the ICT world.
We support tech talent and entrepreneurs with workspaces, mentorship, and startup incubation to create homegrown digital solutions that tackle community challenges.
We transform classrooms by integrating ICT into education — offering e-learning tools, training for teachers, and digital content for both formal and informal learners.
We guide citizens to confidently use digital government services, participate in civic platforms, and access online tools that improve everyday life and democracy.
"Empowering lives and communities through inclusive access to computer knowledge, ICT innovation, and responsible digital citizenship."
