World Girls in ICT Day 2026

This initiative by the Uganda National Association for Computer Users (UNACU) is focusing on bridging the gender digital divide and inspiring the next generation of female innovators, developers, and tech leaders in Uganda.

Executive Administrator’s Message
The Executive Administrator emphasized the importance of digital skills development as a foundation for empowering young people in today’s technology-driven world. Participants were guided through essential ICT competencies including computer literacy, effective use of digital communication tools, and responsible internet practices within academic environments, preparing them to become productive and responsible digital citizens.
Girls in ICT Empowerment Forum
The forum inspired me to believe that girls can succeed in science and technology. I am now motivated to pursue ICT and innovation-related studies and build a future in technology

The session helped to understand cyber threats and the importance of protecting personal data. I now know how to stay safe online and practice responsible digital behavior.
